Description

It is the APV focus group „Education and Science“ an important concern is to promote young scientists. In conversations with HR departments of pharmaceutical companies and recruitment agencies we found significant differences between the claims of the pharmaceutical industry to graduates and their suitability or application profiles. For this reason, the APV seminar series on the topic „Career entry in the pharmaceutical industry„ has been appointed.

Target groups

PhD Students, Post Doc‘s and other graduates, who are preparing for a job in the pharmaceutical industry

Objective

In this seminar, the most important questions about starting a career in the pharmaceutical industry are discussed:

  • Which position is interesting for me?
  • How can I identify a company that might fit to me?
  • How do I apply correctly?
  • Which skills are useful in addition to my technical knowledge?
  • How do I plan my industrial career meaningfully?

In addition to conveying basic information to the complex of topics, the concept of different working fields and cultural enviornments within the pharmaceutical/chemical industry are presented.

Experienced employees from the personnel departments imparting the requirements to applicants and their application from the viewpoint of the pharmaceutical industry and will be available for individual discussions and questions as well as for a CV check.
